About Danny
Pianist • Piano Teacher • Musical Director • Custom Track Producer
I'm Danny Gamble, a pianist, piano teacher and musical director based in West Yorkshire. Music has been at the centre of my life for over 20 years, and during that time I've worked across piano tuition, live performance, musical theatre and musical direction.
Whether working with students, performers or theatre companies, my aim is always the same: to create engaging, enjoyable and high-quality musical experiences that help people develop confidence, skills and a genuine connection with music.

Experience & Background
Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, I could often hear music and work it out by ear on the piano before I had any formal training. That early fascination with music eventually led to piano lessons at around the age of ten and, later, formal study at Leeds College of Music.
While beginning my career in office-based work, opportunities started to emerge in the world of theatre. At the age of 19, I was given the chance to play in the orchestra pit at Leeds Grand Theatre, an experience that helped shape the direction of my musical career. From there, I went on to perform with numerous amateur theatre societies across Yorkshire, gradually progressing from pit musician to musical director.
Alongside my theatre work, I pursued opportunities as a professional performer. This included international touring with an ABBA tribute production and performing as part of the resident band at Cayton Bay Holiday Park. During this time, I began approaching local schools about providing piano tuition and quickly discovered a passion for teaching. What started as a small part of my work eventually grew into a full-time career teaching piano in schools across Yorkshire.
My Musical Journey
Today, I work full-time as a piano teacher in schools across West and North Yorkshire, delivering lessons to students of all ages and abilities. Some students learn purely for enjoyment, while others work towards graded examinations or develop skills that support their wider school music studies.
My teaching is tailored to each student's goals, interests and learning style, helping them develop confidence, musical understanding and a genuine enjoyment of music. I am particularly experienced in supporting students with additional educational needs and adapting lessons to ensure every learner can progress successfully. To date, my students have maintained a 100% exam pass rate.
Alongside teaching, I have over two decades of experience as a pianist, keyboard player and musical director. I have performed in orchestra pits for productions ranging from classic musicals to contemporary shows and have musically directed productions throughout Yorkshire and beyond.
Career highlights include musically directing the West Yorkshire premiere of Chicago for Bradford Playhouse and performing in Kiss Me, Kate at the spectacular open-air Minack Theatre in Cornwall.
I also make extensive use of music technology, creating professional-quality backing tracks, audition cuts, rehearsal materials and tailor-made musical resources for performers, dance schools, theatre productions and special events.
My Approach
Every student, performer and production is different, and I believe musical support should reflect that.
Whether teaching a beginner, preparing a student for an exam, accompanying a performer or directing a theatre production, I focus on creating an environment that is supportive, engaging and enjoyable while maintaining high musical standards.
For students, this often means incorporating music they genuinely enjoy alongside the technical and musical skills needed for long-term development. For productions and performers, it means combining preparation, flexibility and attention to detail to help everyone perform at their best.
I also embrace technology where it can enhance learning and performance, using modern tools and resources to support both students and productions.
